Take Me To Dixie

Watching the Dixie Chicks live liberates one.

And this is not some fan-boy crazy over the physical assets aspect of them yar (mind you they are all mothers)

Three part harmony. Love Natalie's passionate voice, and the tight harmony provided by Emily, and Martie.

Enjoy.

Not Ready To Make Nice

will those who miss chung cheng please stand up, please stand up, please stand up

Seems like it has becomed the norm to give tributes on your blog.

Here's mine, to the various people whom I have met while seated at the "prime" location at PP's Coffee Bean.

The first, The Great Madam herself "Ronnie"! First thing she said was,"So long never come back!" made me realised how much I have dumped Chung Cheng and moved on. Yup it's been a while since I went back with the sole purpose of seeking teachers out, but Ronnie, how could we forget about you? You were our most beloved teacher even though it was only a short year. To the clueless, Ronnie is Mrs Veronica Tan. To think you still worry about my studies! k lar, you are still as pretty as ever, but you broke my heart again..... and MDM, I'm not into physio because I want to touch people lar.

Then came Mr Daniel Chung of TJC. Sorry for not noticing that you were seated right in front of me (it's the display lar, block my view). Thanks for still worrying about my studies too, but at least now you know who to look for if you ever need physiotherapy next time!

It sort of became a little gathering of TJC tutors when.. 3 female tutors walked past, half the Chinese department dropped by for coffee, with Mr Ong joining in later, Ms Faye Tan walked past too! Maybe it's because it's the last day of school?

Jerrold from my class was there too. 21/05, though not really what I expected, thanks everyone!

My stupid junior Sheldon came by with his gang of friends (I believe includes Shen Xiong & Wee Meng). Wah, sec 3 already. I still remember sec-3-post-SA2, the 2 little extension weeks where it feels like the whole school belongs exclusively to you since the sec 4s are off for O levels. K lar, I owe you a meal since you passed theory. You lousy QM, dont even know what songs to play for end-of-year concert.

Lastly, Mr Tan King Ming! Fondly addressed as TKM by Isaac and I. I wolud have missed him if not for him standing at the checkout of Cold Storage with his irresistably adorable baby (oh! I forgot to ask for its name!) without a pram but instead a sling (ah! there, responsible parenting). He left CCHSM too, and is now at MoE. He asked about my studies too. I'm so glad that I did not squash you fingers between the cupboards in the QM room when we tried to implement the system by rearranging the furniture! (I nearly did! Phew)

For all the words of encouragement that I have heard today, thank you all!

sigh, i threw my life away, but i guess we just have to move on.

As the end draws near, the new things await too!

And 'it' was such a good deal, both of us could not resist it. We plunged into it, and guess we'll be up and about town soon.

PPW, and now CLT, FES, GWC, STC, even VVC.

Sounds like fun man

Connection

The contract to my horrendous JetPack service is finally over.

JetPack offers 30 hours of surfing a month, with extras going at quite some low-price per minute at only $20+ a month! I should have known that I am uncontrollable on the net (meaning, I could have went for some unlimited plan at $40+ instead of paying $60+ a month for JetPack).

So I have upgraded my plan, and on Friday, my wireless modem (no use yet) will come along with a spanking new iPod Nano. wahahahahahaha

Wintersong

When I heard that Sarah McLachlan has a new album on its way to the stores, time really slowed down and came to a stop (though some say that the cover picture was "off").

Of course, I had to listen to "River", the first single off this CD (listen here and you'll know why I love this woman who is 20 years older than me). It samples "Jingle Bells" at the end of it. Without that, the rest of the song simply painted images of beautiful snowflakes and warm fires.

Just so you know, I have all of her songs. =]

Strange stuff. I'm constantly in love with women that are already married with kids i.e. Dixie Chicks, Sarah, Atomic Kitten. I also think Madonna is quite cool (at a whopping age of 48). See! Motherhood makes women more attractive.

I'm so getting Wintersong, along with that Luther Vandross album, maybe the No Doubt one, Lunarin's, Christina's B2B, U2's DVD (I love Bono), Sarah's Afterglow Live DVD, Cranberries's DVD yadayadayadayada....

Parents

I think that baby strollers promote irresponsible parenting.

Like, if you want to bring your toddler out, don't think of it as a hassle! Carry it! I mean, come on, it's your kid!

Infants would love to be near a familiar heartbeat and body temperature that they can identify as "PARENT" instead of feeling lonely in a pram while its parents are off checking out some discounted U-Zap.

When I have kids, I would use that sling. The baby sling thingie. Unless I cannot manage to carry 2 kids by myself and drag another bawling, screaming 4-year-old boy. hee

but then again, I might not have kids cause I think that it is more worthwhile spending all the money I've painstakingly earned on things that I really want.

Then again..
