I (don't) Like It

Two things that I don't seem to get.

Brought up the subject of the possibility of me becoming a nurse in the future to my Mum. Her response? Roughly means that nursing is not really for guys, explicitly stating that there is no future being a male nurse. Sigh, why? Probably the prospect of seeing her son cleaning up others and attending to their every (toilet) need put her off, but I think that male nurses are a species worth respecting, and I'm sure that I have the feet to fill the shoes.

Peter Petrelli, male nurse, and hero from NBC's Heroes:Sensitive nurse who can't help but absorb the powers around him.

Anyway, Heroes rocks. You guys & girls should give up watching Desperate Housewives, Prison Break, Grey's Anatomy and whatnots to watch Heroes. It really is a comic book come alive. :D

Mum's suggestion: Air Steward. Sigh

The other involves the many occasions when I run away/hide whenever I see you. When will I get over it?

P O P !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !!

Like I was saying, I will put up the schedule of my block leave on the day of POP itself (13/03/07).

I lied. Sigh.

That aside, the past few days had been eventful and fulfilling: celebrating Ms Swan's birthday, platoon BBQ, watching Letters From Iwo Jima (which is really really really really wow-ing), went out with my cousins, and whatnots.

So now, I can only "pray with my toes" (courtesy of SSM), that I get posted to medic school and become a combat medic. Regardless of what others say about combat medics (and how they we look like commandos but are medics), it is a calling. The poster reads: Life First. That's the way man!

And by popular demand (from fans of my photoshopped photos):
PC Aaron has got 2 chocolate bars, they don't. REC Daniel Tan & Goh Chun Kiat use finger lor!

Everybody Knows

Somebody had a day's off due to medical appointment at CGH.
Somebody is not participating in POP.
Somebody did not participate in 24k route march.
Somebody has very, very short hair.

Of the above 4, 1 describes Britney Spears and the other 3 describes me. :D

It's a very good feeling to meet your family at gatherings at different places for 3 weeks straight in a row.
It's also a very great feeling to know that your cousins are growing much closer to yourself.
It's most wonderful when your nephew finally recognise you as a relative and not a stranger.

It's lovely!

I promise, a schedule of my block leave the moment I reach home after POP. Alright, at the very least, before 2359 hrs. Book me, cause I'm finally free for a while and not having to spend my youth in camp doing NOTHING!!

The Countdown Begins...

...as we are left with 8 days till POP (passing out parade, to the uninitiated).

The ARMY. The loveliest organisation to be in when you are at the age of 18, trying to find the path to take for the rest of your life. Reason? There is just so much time for you to think, too much time actually, that I managed to finish Red Dragon and The Silence Of The Lambs in 2 weeks.

Sigh, when will it end? right, Isaac?

Hmm, if you really want to know, Mr I-Hate-Chemistry-Ever-Since-The-Start-Of-JC did not disappoint Mrs Kee at the very end. Even though I failed every single Chemistry test/examinations, I got an A. In your face, Cambridge!

ABC B3, not bad for you, great according to my standards.

Did I mention? 8 in-camp days till POP. 13th March 2007!!
