Taking The Long Way

Hey! Lucky week it was!

Was supposed to book out only this morning due to live firing (or yesterday night if we were quick enough as a company) but due to SAF Band auditions yesterday morning I was allowed to book out on Friday night! Earned one there. CK 1, Infantry 0.

The more time spent in Tekong, the more I dread going back. As You Jun aptly puts it, "you just look forward to booking out every book in". So I've decided, waste of time it is and I shall get myself out of it.

only 2.5 weeks left till POP, and it's going to be 3 months into 2007 already! I'm getting old!

Book Ins Make Me Sad

It's been a blast of a CNY, will tell you all more about it. To sum it up, I am really thankful my cousins, aunts & uncles. :D

3 beautiful mums hailing from Texas took the night away with their sweep of 5 Grammys (even Best Country Album which is one fat irony, but that is what country is so interesting about).

Till next sat then.

Foxtrot Tango Alpha

It's been 2 long weeks on Tekong! Without a book out last weekend, I sure did enjoy myself well this book out!

Before that, news is that, my computer finally crashed. I took drastic measures and end up formatting my hard drive(s) before reinstalling Windows. Sigh. My collection of anime and music vanished just like that. Guess it is punishment for always putting off backing up "the next book out". Oh well, I read somewhere that collections are collecting dust, so that's just too bad. Time to let it go! Spring cleaning for the new year.

Most important files/programs lost include Sibelius 4 (along with my 10-minute-long composition for concert band), Photoshop (along with 6 projects that I was working on), and many photos of my short, meaningless life in Temasek.

Guess i'll get my Photoshop back by next book out.

At least I have 7gb of songs in my iPod that are still safe and sound.

Bought some new clothes for the festive season. I suddenly developed an obsession with white-collared shirts, actually, collared shirts. Guess it's lesser t-shirts for me! A boy's gotta grow up too.

Foxtrot Tango Alpha.

In army lingo, it stands for F.T.A., which stands for something that my section commander always tells us.

Field camp was ok, I'm plain proud of my ability to store waste for 6 days straight :D :D :D (sick guy)

Wouldnt write about army stuff still, so if you really want to know you can ask me :)

Meanwhile, take good care of yourselves, while I prepare to book in. Situational test (SIT Test) next week, which means spending 3 days outfield again. Oh well, I survived 6, what is 3?? Live grenade throw too! Exciting, but I still think countries should drop arms (idealistic, but that's just me).

Godspeed!
