Summary: Adventures Of The Sleepless And Hard Players
I just woke up from the first time I slept at 4.20+p.m. yesterday. I have not slept before this from 7.30a.m. on Thursday morning. That would make roughly about 56 hours and 55 minutes of non-sleep action. So some might ask,"What can one do in such a long period of time?"
It all beagn with waking up on Thursday morning. Some might recall the incident of the Missing Physics Paper from my previous post. Here's the full thing. Woke up at 7.30a.m. and had a little breakfast.
I tried to be good for once and study Physics [was it that stack of Gravitation notes?]. Deal is, I fell asleep after that [5 minutes I suppose] and only woke up at 12.30p.m. and cannot make it for the Physics paper. Well even if I did make it I would not be able to do any of the questions, nevermind about that.
To sort of make up for this loss, I continued studying for Biology for the rest of the day, leading to the tea incident.
The tea incident occured while I was studying late into the night for the dreaded but 'only-hope' subject known as Biology [refer to previous post].
I completed my Biology paper and hence ended the June Common Test. I do not want to talk about what happened during or before the last paper commenced but let's just say it was just a lot of mugging and shivering under the blizzard-producing machine.
After that, got to go out with Jaryl for a little bit. We went to Tampines Central and just shopped about. Met Kah Sing and Zhi Yong after that for lunch. With Jaryl's enlightenment, I realised that the $0.20 Potato Stars that are on sale at Burger King are simply 20cents without any other purchase. So purchasing 10 portions would get one 90 individual stars that would make for a good lunch at only $2.
Rushed back to Chung Cheng High for their record-setting event of the year. I'm still not very sure of what is going on but just check it out. Anyway I did not even step into the Concourse where the heart of the event is and instead I was at the old and dilapidated CCA block with the bandits. Got myself involved in teaching my dearest Sec 1 juniors who are just so interesting and different from the rest of the previous batches of Sec 1s. More will come later, and I will write about them again.
Went back to TJC after that for House Committee Investiture rehearsal. Alot of situations just pieced their together over there after a few enlightenments. Keeping it this way because more cannot be revealed. I also realised that what I thought was a temps de cuisse I cannot do. Thanks to Shu Jing. Time to train then [like I can].
Dinner was with the bandits again. If only I was back to the days of after band dinners. This is one of the rare reproductions. Anyway we had fun making fun of Nicholas as he was the only one there to not have been bornt in the 80s. We talked till near 10p.m. and decided to leave for home.
I was tempted to go to the Choir chalet and I did. Well managed to catch the last bus after going online for awhile. I thought the bus ride was going to be a short one but before I realised it I was already at Pasir Ris. Got lost for awhile [how could I ever?] when I overlooked the apartments in the Aranda and thought that they belonged to Downtown East. In the chalet, after certifying that I was the first person to reach for that day [12.15a.m. on 2 July] I got addicted to mahjong. The kakis were Timothy, Liling, Cheng Pei, Michelle and Yu Xuan who got knocked out halfway due to the water faucet in the middle of his face. So we played on and on throught the night and stopped at 5+a.m. when they wanted to go watch the sunrise [a little too early I thought].
Later, I went to Pasir Ris MRT to Tanah Merah to meet Mr Weldon Sng at 6.30 after watching a little morning television. Well Weldon was late and I was finally early [triumphant fanfare]. We proceeded to Singapore Polytechnic [a.k.a. Dover and I slept throughout the journey] and met the rest of them. The LEO activity was quite boring. Imagine that you are suppose to be the road marshall for this gate to guide them in the right direction. While you are waiting for your partner to return you sit by the gate, by the road in the blazing sun and falls asleep. That was what happened to me. My SP partner was shocked to find me sleeping in that position and he laughed at me [when we have only just met]. haha
Had free [fine, complentary] lunch provided by the nice organisers of this event, we left for a few games of pool at Katong Village with Jaryl, Kah Sing, Weldon, Amande, Elke. Jaryl just don't want to start on pool, saying he wants to keep himself a virgin and saving his first time. Oh well. I left earlier since I had this appointment with the family at 4p.m. at Orchard Cineleisure [my cousin's son celebrating his first month on Earth]. Guess what. I fell into deep sleep right after I showered, changed and decided to take a nap. Here I am just right after waking up. How nice of me.
I hope my cousin's son [is it nephew?] don't hate me for this, but I am just too tired. Felt that I had really played hard this two days. So hard that I had begun hallucinating and lost track of time [Jaryl said I wasn't the person he knew. Effects of not sleeping I guess?]. I would say that this adventure is quite well-deserved since I had try to study hard for that dreaded test. What's over is over. Long weekend coming. Got to be prepared for it. First by resting. I'm going back to sleep soon! Later!
