Emergency Room 24 Hours

I am lazy. Woke up at 2.20+pm as usual and read through the Sunday papers. Wasted quite a lot of time which could be used for studying. Anyway I have decided to just focus on Biology and Chemistry. Which could actually be a good idea. Let's just wait for the results.

Anyway, Sunday is Emergency Room 24 hours day. Yup, 11pm on Channel 8. Very nice show which somehow reinforced my ambition of working in a hospital. Of course preferably a physiotherapist but this show slightly shifted me a little to the A&E department. If that's the case that would mean that I would have to study Medicine.

In the show, Matsushima Nanako is the leading lady and she struggles with either quitting her job at the A&E department, marry her boyfriend and follow him to USA[?] where he is posted to by his company. Either that or she don't get married. She stayed on in the end only to have an earthquake measuring 6 on the Richter scale occur in Tokyo.

Ironically, in the hospital, all the doctors and nurses experienced that quake but none of them realise the severity of it. All means of communication is cut off. In today's episode, no casualty was admitted to the hospital and some of the staff members left for home as they cannot contact their family and are extremely worried about their own kins. Of course our leading lady did not leave but she is also worried for her boyfriend [she still loves him but she did not agree to leave with him due to her job].

Well there's still a huge part which I left out. Go watch it. It really is beneficial.

To think that I actually felt that cringing-crying feeling over something the husband of this lady who passed away. [She was considered beyond hope. This is because the leading man was in the small town hospital and he sort of controlled the situation over at the hospital since he was trained in emergency rescue. He used the staggering rescue method which is to not treat the mobile and the ones that are quite beyond hope [e.g.80% body burns]. At first it spurred off a great chaos as everyone thinks that he is an unethical doctor but in the end, when the patients realised that the doctor of the small town hospital (not the lead) cannot contact his wife but is still working on trying hard to treat them, they were shocked. The lead also said "We are all victims." and that led those waiting with their kins for treatment to help the small town doctor find his wife. The husband said to his wife who already passed away,"Dear, it's a little cold. Bear with it for a while, as I'll be back soon." Then that feeling came about. Touching.

One more reason to watch this show. It is very inspirational. Reinforced my dream of working in a hopsital. Yes even if I am to be a nurse. Yup and this is how I will stay I hope.

Now back to my studies. Later.
