A Mouse Without A Tail

Realised that my absence lasted for a week but was a little busy.

Anyway I am now without the use of a mouse. Just a keyboard.

This optical mouse that came with my computer 3 months ago is on the verge of dying. Battery replacements, battery removal and replacing again and again.. Still the mouse does not seem to revive.It looks perfectly fine right? Just wondering why it always die on me and cause me to have to resort to

Slamming against the desk, moving it up and down rapidly, scolding [not mad yet] restarting computer and trying to reconnecting it to the CPU.
