Discovery
Due to AO level Chinese Listening Examinations today, I was dismissed very early at about 3 pm. Since I have the time, decided to go and collect my webcam that came free with my Broadband subscription with Singtel.
These things always happen to me. As described earlier in 'Good Service Equals Happy Customers', it happened to me again. First thing I saw on the door of the Prolink Customer Service Centre was a piece of paper apologising to the customers as the webcam is currently out of stock! After all the trouble I took to rush down from Bedok to Boon Keng before its closing time. SIGH.. [nvm]
With bad things come good things too.
With quite a bit of time before the meeting time with 2 of my friends, I decided to walk to Bugis, and I found gold!
Along the way of Jalan Besar [not a place that anyone would go without a purpose], I saw this road sign. Not just any sign but Foch Road. Could it be linked to this person here? Well I have no idea, but this caused me to become very fascinated with street names and the next time I talk another of my walks I will find out more about the naming of Singapore streets big and small.
Walking on, within a fenced up area sprouted umbrellas. On closer look I found Singapore's Flea Market [or is it even known as a flea market]! Did not know that it is so close to Bugis [will be part of 28 km itinerary]. really wonder how people actually make a living setting up little stalls here.

inside and outside the cannery building at clarke quay every sunday from 10am to 6pm. tanglin mall has roadside pasar malams one saturday per month from 5-11pm (a bit weird right, angmoh hangout go and put pasar malam -.-). and stadium cove has flea market-y stuff too, on weekends in think. but i heard it's quite bo hua. HAHA and if you noticed, bedok cc had a RESIDENTS' FLEA MARKET the other day. if you don't mind looking at old microwaves and tilams. quite queerly too, timberlux and zouk have flea markets once in a while but i suppose those would be rather inconvenient.
