Little Splinter Of Wisdom
Experiment:
1. Stretch your tongue to reach the upper right corner of the roof of your mouth [the part where your wisdom tooth is/will be].
2. Move your tongue along the surface of that area of gum.
By the chance that I am online now, you will feel nothing strange.
For me though, I can easily open this flap of flesh that bacame dislodged from the rest of the gum when my dearest wisdom tooth decided to pop its head out.
Since waking up today, I realised that that area of the gum is 'swollen' and there is this discomfort in the back of my mouth all the way to lunch. It felt 'swollen' from what the tongue felt.
After lunch, fearing that particles of food might get stuck in the little gaps, I used the tongue again and this time, I was harder on my gums. How horrified would you be if you realised that your gum has formed a splinter and the splinter of flesh is still hanging off the gums with it covering a [stupid] wisdom tooth ? I was rather disturbed by this discovery.
My wisdom teeth have all agreed on seasonal growth and I will always experience swollen gums at the back for 2 to 3 days everynow and then [very random]. I wonder if there would come a time when I need to go for the operation to remove them all for some reason or another. If I do go for the operation though, I would miss a lot of school, which is quite bad now to think of it as you would have to borrow other's lecture notes and tutorials to copy down what you have missed [so thanks Jaryl, Melissa for trusting me with your notes overnight!].
After awhile that splinter I realised that splinter is actually quite fun to play with. So if you see me around in school looking like I am looking for something in my mouth with my tongue, I am playing!
Not exactly very fun since it comes with a little pain.
I do not want this to happen to me.
Later!
