Alumni Band
Alumni Band was great and wonderful and terrific and what-else-more!
It was like playing in the same band that I "grew up" with, even though the older members were not present then. Hope that this wonderous gathering of people with the same passion for making music together would continue for many more years! (we could actually market ourself as a jazz/latin band since we are so good at blasting. yes, even the bassoonist blasted)
Rhapsody in Blue was really theatrical, but it was kind of silly of me to move my head in an attempt to make sure that the flutter-tonguing on high concert F was sustained.
El Cumbanchero was blasting goodness. Yes, if you did hear the bassoon/flute melody at the beginning you would have agreed as that was the softest part of the piece! The rest was eardrum bursting.
Come on Singapore Conference Hall, admit that it was the best music that you have contained in a long time. I'm sure no CO can sound like that.
